Bayway Gourmet Butcher Shoppe & Home Depot
St. Petersburg Florida (May 2009) – Bayway Gourmet will roll out their “Summer-time when the Grilling is Easy” campaign Saturday May 9th, showcasing great cuts of meat, grills and smokers. Partnering with Home Depot Tyrone, this event allows both businesses a cross-marketing opportunity and new and regular customers a chance to enjoy delicious food and how to choose that perfect grill. .
Boar’s Head hot dogs will also be on the grill, as the Bayway Gourmet Butcher Shoppe carries all of their meats and cheeses. Located on the Pinellas Baway, just west of Eckerd College the store is readily noticed with welcoming landscaping, umbrellas and Adirondack chairs.
Home Depot Tyrone will set up grills and smokers on location at the Bayway Gourmet Butcher Shoppe and grill masters will be doing the cooking. A drawing will also be held with other “give-a- way” items.
Bayway Gourmet Butcher Shoppe is well known by locals and visitors alike. The Shoppe carries a wide selection of cut meats, gourmet food items, prepared foods, imported and domestic beers and wonderful wines. Way beyond your local convenience store the Shoppe boasts great customer service, unique items and is a great place where you can meet and make new friends.
Mark Cornish, of Bayway Gourmet states, “With summer-time just around the corner, partnering with Home Depot Tyrone just made sense, it is a great way for our customers to enjoy what we both have to offer, on both sides of the grilling experience!”

Savannah’s restaurant in Saint Petersburg Fl.
Fine southern cuisine and that is so true. I love this restaurant. It has a great atmosphere and great food.

restaurant in Saint pete
The staff is very friendly and the place is beautiful. High ceilings (and I mean 20 something feet) nice little bar area, outside seating etc. They have a Julep iced tea for $3 or an original Julep with Kentucky bourbon for $7. Their appetizers start at $7 up to $9 and entrees are somewhere around $19.

Bar at Savannah's
So, if you are somewhere in the area and want to taste southern cooking, the Savannah’s is the place to go. It is right on Central Ave in a beautifully restored old building.

Shopping in Saint Petersburg Fl.
Saturday morning market downtown Saint Petersburg.
I just love it.
Today was just another beautiful Saturday morning with lots of sunshine and a little wind here in Saint Petersburg Florida.
Me and a few girlfriends meet a Café Kawa on 5th Ave and than went to the market.
I just love it, it was crowded as always and people were just having fun, buying things and tasting different foods and listening to the music.
One of my favorite things on the market is the cheese tent and the organic egg stand. Last time we went we could not buy any eggs because they were sold out. I just tough “Tough luck” and went my merry way. Not my girlfriend. She actually went on My Space and “reserved” eggs for this week. It is crazy, here is this very nice woman selling eggs and goat milk on a farmers market and at the same time having a very active MY Space account. I love this world !!!
Gulf Bistro in Madeira Beach
Gulf Bistro
And again, I had a great time last Friday. Romantic dinner at the Gulf Bistro in Madeira beach. I love this place, the prices are very fair, the food is incredible, the service is very friendly and on it goes. The Gulf Bistro is located on Gulf Blvd just north of Tom Stuart Causeway, they are open at night and during the season they also serve lunch.
You got to try this wonderful little place. It used to be the Café de France but they changed their name about two years ago. Same owner same great restaurant.
So, if you ever visit Madeira Beach here in Florida and want to have a really nice dinner, go to the Gulf Bistro. They are also open for lunch between Thanksgiving and Easter.

All you can eat in Treasure Island Florida
Here is another inside tip.The R bar. Located on 108th AveLocal “hang out” in Treasure Island.I am not thrilled about their menu, or their music or their overall performance, butI love to go there for Crab legs. Every Tuesdays and Thursdays they have Crab legs all you can eat. I believe it is around $17 and you get a site dish and a salad with it.They are really good and it is fun to go with a few friends. It is all very basic and you better not wear fancy cloth, it can be messy, but you have to try it once.Like I said, I am not crazy about their music, some DJ playing old Rock and Roll songs and sometimes trying to sing along kind of deal. So, if you are like me, make sure you sit on the other end of the restaurant. The music doesn’t travel this far and you can enjoy a conversation and eat your crab legs. Rule of thumb, if you can not see the DJ, you can not hear him.No, serious, it is not that bad. The service is friendly and the crab legs are really good. Not the right place to take a first date, but a fun evening out with friends or the whole family.
Treasure Island food, fine dining at the Perl
Wonderful food in Treasure Island Florida“The Pearl” a fine dining experience in Treasure IslandI really love the place the food is so good and very creative with a Moroccan – Mediterranean touch. It is in “Downtown” Treasure Island on the south site of 107th Ave They open at 4 pm Monday – Saturday.Their phone number is 727 360 9151, they are usually very busy, so it might be good to call and make reservations. You can sit inside or outside.Appetizers are between $7 and $10 and entrees are $16 to $28. My favorite soup is the Lobster bisque, made fresh daily. My favorite entrée is the ½ duck with orange sauce. Also, they have some daily specials that you do not want to miss. The food is fantastic and the chef is a master in presenting it. They have a great wine list to compliment all their dishes and the service is very delightful.Real nice atmosphere with real table cloth and napkins and candles. Would be a good place to impress the first date. . . Ok, let’s not go there. Anyway, we are all glad that we have “The Pearl” in Treasure Island. Trust me, this is the perfect place to go and have a wonderful evening.
