Homeless people in Florida Saint Petersburg
With the economy being this bad more and more people need help. I was shocked the other day when I saw on TV that a help centre here in Saint Petersburg, the Tampabay area was serving food and they could not feed all the people that showed up. I am writing this post to ask everybody ONE question. All the people you buy gifts for this year, do they really need them? Do they need that extra sweater or the crystal vase or the new handbag? In the spirit of Thanks giving, the holiday season why don’t we take a close look at the list of presents we want to buy this year? Here is what I will do.
Everybody on my list will get a present, but it is going to be much smaller and they will also get can food that they can donate if they want to. Sometimes, all people need is a reminder; we tend to forget about all the not so fortunate people around. We get so caught up in our own problems and the day to day business, that even if we have good intentions, we never get around to do something about it.
Below is a list of organizations that help the not so fortunate people that can not afford a Turkey for Thanksgiving.

Madeira cove, condo community in Madeira beach
Madeira cove is a really nice and small condo complex here in Madeira Beach Florida.
It was built in 1997 and consists of 3 building with a total of 60 units.
It sits right on the Intracoastal Waterway and is only minutes away from famous John’s Pass.
The units are either 2 bedrooms or 3 bedrooms with 2 baths. The smaller units are 1250 heated square feet the bigger ones are 1425 heated square feet. All of them have a nice size balcony with a waterfront view. You can bring a pet up to 25 pounds and you can rent these units for 30 days or longer, 4 time a year.
The community features a heated pool and spa, fitness centre, fishing dock and tennis courts. The complex is located off 150 Ave in Madeira beach, witch is also Tom Steward causeway. Just a few walking minutes from the beaches, shopping and restaurants.
As an owner you have an assigned under building parking spot or covered parking under the carport. The buildings can only be accessed by a coded elevator.
Madeira Cove has a nice mixture of people who live here year around or snowbirds that come down for the season. The highest sales price in Madeira cove was in August 2005, a 1425 sqf, unit sold for $465,000. the lowest in may of 2008 was $250,000 for a 1250 sf. Unit.
Real Estate, Townhomes, Condos in Treasure Island Florida for sale
One of my favorite town home communities is Sun Ketch in Treasure Island
on Isle of Capri.
The units were built between 1987 and 1991 and we have 3 different phases
Sun Ketch one, two and three.
They are all between 920 heated square feet and 1030. 2 bedroom 2 bath with a huge garage that takes up the whole ground floor. Every time I show the Sun Ketch units I feel like I drive into a little Key West style vacation resort.
The units are walking distance to the beautiful Treasure Island beach and also walking distance to restaurants, local bars and shopping.
Right now the asking prices range from $187,900 for 920 sf. to $269,900 for 1030 sf.
Seven units are active on the market, two are pending and one closed this year for $212 per heated square foot.
Last year there were 7 sales in Sun Ketch and they sold for $ 240 per sf. on average. The highest sales price was $250,000 for a 920 sf unit. In 2006 the highest sales price was $268,500 and 5 units sold altogether. In 2005 total units sold were 7 and the highest price was $295,000 for 1015 sf. (all according to MLS data) We have one listing in Sun Ketch right now, it is a phase one corner unit with 990 heated square foot, totally remodeled and updated, owner has receipts for about $80,000 over the last few years.
This unit is in great condition, has lots of natural light and all neutral colors.
This one is a steal and might be the last available deal in Sun ketch.
As you know, nobody has a crystal ball but I have a feeling that the Sun Ketch units have “bottomed out” and will stabilize very soon.
Market stats
